Welcome to HappyTribe.NET – My place in paradise! I am commited to saving The Earth and helping stop climate change. The Daintree Rainforest is over 135 million years old! This makes it the oldest tropical lowland rainforest on Earth!

The Daintree Rainforest is known for its lush, tropical flora and ancient, endemic fauna. It has captivated Sir David Attenborough to such an extent that he has named it “unlike any other rainforest in the world”! 😎

The Wet Tropics is home to about a third of Australia’s 315 mammal species and, of those, 13 are found nowhere else in the world. They include unique green possums, ringtail possums, marsupial cats, rare bats, tree-kangaroos, a rat- kangaroo, melomys and antechinus.

Sir David Attenborough, the renowned naturalist, has described the Daintree Rainforest in Far North Queensland, Australia as “the most extraordinary place on earth”. He finds it unique due to its amazing rainforest, which is quite unlike any other rainforest in the world. The Daintree Rainforest is located near the coast, where it meets the Great Barrier Reef. This stretch of far-north Queensland is the only place where these two UNESCO World Heritage Sites meet. The Daintree Rainforest is part of the Wet Tropics World Heritage Area, which is the world’s oldest surviving tropical rainforest. It is a biodiverse landscape that offers a glimpse into the past with flora and fauna that have evolved over 100 million years.
